Dr. Joseph Davis is a highly experienced pediatric dentist known for his calm, gentle approach and commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care for every child. He is passionate about helping children build lifelong healthy habits while making each dental visit positive, fun, and stress-free.
Dr. Davis believes that education is a key part of great dental care. He takes time to teach both children and parents about proper oral hygiene, healthy nutrition, and practical ways to make brushing, flossing, and dental visits more enjoyable and rewarding. By explaining each step of treatment in age-appropriate language, Dr. Davis helps his patients feel comfortable, confident, and in control throughout their visit.
A proud resident of West Hempstead and lifelong Long Islander, Dr. Davis takes tremendous pride in caring for the children and families in his community. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their children, and extended family. He is also well-known for his impressive (and slightly embarrassing) knowledge of Disney and animated movies—and yes, he’s always happy to sing along if you are.
Dr. Davis graduated Summa Cum Laude from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology before earning his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with honors in medically complex patient care. He then completed a general dental residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, gaining extensive experience in emergency facial trauma, advanced restorative dentistry, and dental care for patients with cancer.
Following his residency, Dr. Davis completed an intensive pediatric dental specialty program at the University of Pennsylvania and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). There, he received advanced training in pediatric behavior management, state-of-the-art dental technology, sedation dentistry, special needs care, and emergency pediatric dental trauma.
Dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care, Dr. Davis stays current with the latest research, techniques, and technology through continuing education. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), and New York State Dental Association (NYSDA). He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and holds surgical privileges at two local surgical centers.
West Hempstead Pediatric Dentistry is uniquely designed for children. Our beautiful underwater-themed office features a large saltwater fish tank, interactive games, and Disney+ in every operatory. We serve children from infancy through age 18, with special expertise in treating patients with special needs.
